Gold Homecoming Dresses - How Much Glitter is Too Much Glitter?

When it comes to gold homecoming dresses, there are a few ways that you can go about doing your makeup. However, sometimes you put on a gold dress and you think you should stick to really shiny, really glittery eyeshadows. However, there is a great alternative. So, here are a few fun looks that you can wear with really pretty gold homecoming dresses!

Gold Fade

For this look for gold homecoming dresses, you want to start out by buying Milani's Runway Eyes Ready to Wear palette. It has all of the colors that you need for this look. Start out with the lightest cream color and use that all over your lid. Then, take the gold and use that overtop of the light cream color. Then, use a gentle swipe of the darkest brown in your crease. You don't need much. Overtop of that, use your bronze color and bring it up just slightly. This is a great look for many different gold homecoming dresses! It's up to you which you'd like to wear it with, but it works pretty nicely with a darker gold color.

Light Gold

Now, as far as light gold homecoming dresses go, you might want something just a tiny bit lighter. For this, use the light creamy color instead. Use the gold overtop of it and use it all over your crease. If you want—and this goes for any of the gold homecoming dresses makeup looks, you can also use the gold eyeshadow on an eyeliner brush for eyeliner. Keep it subtle...but don't be afraid to wing it out slightly. You might want to try it over a yellow eyeshadow. Try to stick to brown eyeliner instead of black for this look, for your undereyes. It might not sound like a big deal, but black would really be way too harsh for makeup for gold homecoming dresses.
